All in all, a good day. This was my third out of forth runs, and I believe the only time I murdered a poor defenseless cone. The real fun is towards the end when, after getting back on track after getting lost, my hand slips off the wheel and I punch myself in the nads, spurring a shouting match between myself and God as I wrestle the several-ton American pillow fort back to the finish line while ripping my tires to shreds.
Enjoy.

I JUST SLAPPED MYSELF IN THE BALLS! That was great!
Looks like you guys had fun. Was that at the Sunflower Aerodrome in Yoder?

I lost my shit at the end. That was great.
I wonder if my girlfriend would let me AutoX her Taurus, since none of my cars would be allowed most likely.

Whatever it's called, the old Hutchinson Naval Air Station.

Cool! That's my old Autocross crew! I used to be the registrar for Wichita SCCA.

Pretty sure any car is allowed, even trucks, as long as they aren't four-wheel drive.
But a Taurus would be hilarious, and any car is ridiculous amounts of fun when you drive it at the limit.

What we learned today is that the buick needs a brake job, and some anti roll bars, and it'd be the PERFECT autocross car!

Those are brand-new brakes. And they're pretty damn big, but that's a LOT of car and I was getting on them really hard. Of course, anti-roll bars and I wouldn't *have* to break as much. Thankfully my Buick has mounting points for them, so I could go grab some out of a compatible car.

when you can, go fir it! Also, try finding a totaled regal GS, and swap on a supercharger! It'll kill your MPG's but it'll make the car in to such a sleeper!

My plan is to swap the whole drivetrain from a Regal GS, 'cos just doing the supercharger results in a world of headaches.

oh awesome! when do you plan to do this? also, have you considered turning it in to a manual with a 5-speed unit?

Not sure where I'd find a 5-speed manual transmission that would fit a FWD 3800SII... did such a thing even exist? I think there might have been Northstar-powered FWD cars with manual trannies, but I dunno about anything else.
And I plan to do this as soon as I have the money. I found a Regal GS on Craigslist for $2800, want to buy something like that, part out what's left of the Regal, and stick the supercharged powerplant into my Buick.
